User Agreement

Gas Safety Certificates UK web site, hereby known as the ‘Service’ is accessible worldwide to anyone with internet access. Access to and use of the 'Service' is subject to the Terms and Conditions of this User Agreement and Copyright Notice and all applicable laws and regulations, including laws and regulations governing copyright and trademark. By accessing the 'Service', you accept, without limitation or qualification, all of the Terms and Conditions in this user agreement. The 'Service' can change these Terms and Conditions at any time. The changes will appear on this screen. By using the 'Service', you agree in advance to accept any changes.
The materials used and displayed on the 'Service', including but not limited to text, software, photographs, graphics, illustrations and artwork, video, music and sound, and names, logos, trademarks and service marks, are the property of the 'Service' or its affiliates or licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Any such content may be displayed solely for your personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to modify, reproduce, retransmit, distribute, disseminate, sell, publish, broadcast or circulate any such material without the written permission of the 'Service' or the appropriate affiliate.
The 'Service' contains information, facts and opinions from various individuals and organizations. The 'Service' is provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of title or implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, other than those warranties which are imposed by and incapable of exclusion, restriction or modification under the laws applicable to this agreement. Neither the 'Service' its affiliates endorse or are responsible for the accuracy or reliability of any opinion, advice or statement on the 'Service' or the sites.
Your use of the 'Service' is at your own risk. Neither the 'Service', affiliates, agents, representatives or licensors shall be liable to you or anyone else for any loss or injury or any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive or similar damages arising out of your access or use of, or your inability to access or use, the 'Service' and the information available on the 'Service' or arising out of any action taken in response to or as a result of any information available on the 'Service'. You hereby waive any and all claims against the 'Service', and its subsidiaries, divisions, affiliates, agents, representatives and licensors arising out of your use of the 'Service' and the information available thereon.
This User Agreement and any disputes arising out of or related to the 'Service' shall be governed by, and construed and enforced in accordance with, the laws of the United Kingdom.

Gas Services Terms & Conditions

If you have agreed for your property to be assessed for a Gas Safety Check and/or Boiler Service this contract below sets out the relevant Terms and Conditions.
EPC-World Limited, is a specialist provider of Gas Safety Certificates and Boiler Servicing. EPC-World operates a network of engineers and a named Gas Safe registered engineer will be appointed to your contract.
Your payment details will be taken at the point of order. From point of order the customer will have a 3 day cancellation period. After the three day cancellation period your payment will not be refundable. A cancellation fee of £20.00 plus VAT will be applicable within the three day period. The price quoted is for up to three gas appliances, of which only one boiler and one gas fire are allowed (fire back boilers and hot air central heating are not included in this price, prices available on application), additional boilers and fires will be charged at £25.00 including VAT each. The engineer will require access to all gas appliances to be inspected; it is the responsibility of the landlord to ensure that the gas engineer is aware of all appliances at the property prior to the visit. In the event of failure to disclose all appliances and a second visit is required, a further charge of £30.00 plus VAT will apply.The Gas Safety Check will provide a thorough testing of the nominated appliances. The Boiler Service is specifically for a single boiler.
Property Access
If our engineer is prevented from entering the property either because of a failure of the landlord to provide access, or by aborting the instruction less than 4 hours before the scheduled appointment, a fee of £30.00 will be charged. Gas engineers will not carry out inspections unless an adult is present in the property, if the property is in disrepair, or if dogs are freely roaming the grounds.
Working To Qualified Parameters
All of our engineers are qualified and Gas Safe registered. All engineers carry public liability insurance to a minimum value of £1,000,000. Our engineers cannot and will not give advice on structural issues, maintenance issues or financial factors. If you have any specific queries outside our remit we will endeavour to find a suitably qualified person who may be able to assist with your enquiries.
Certificate Failure
If an appliance fails the Gas Safety Check it will be isolated from the gas supply and capped off, a £20 plus VAT charge for capping off will be added to the invoice. A warning certificate and label will be issued. If the mains supply is deemed dangerous then the meter will be isolated and the capping off charge of £20 plus VAT applied. The engineer will inform the adult present that Transco should be contacted to reconnect the gas supply. A certificate will be issued together with any required warning notices. In the event of appliance failure, a quotation for repair or replacement will be submitted to the landlord.
Certificate Pass
Once the assessment has taken place, the Gas Safety Certificate will be forwarded to the Landlord and the Tenant’s copy be left on the premises, unless otherwise instructed by the landlord. If you are not satisfied with any aspects of the report you should put your complaint in writing to Mark Garry at EPC-World Ltd, Ground Floor, 42 Kirkstall Avenue. Leeds LS5 3DW and you will receive a reply within 14 days. Alternatively, complaints can be submitted by email to info@epc-world.net . A full complaints procedure is available upon request.
 

Electrical Services Terms & Conditions

If you have agreed for your property to be assessed for a Perioidic Inspection Report or Portable Appliance Testing this contract below sets out the relevant Terms and Conditions.
EPC-World Limited, is a specialist provider of Perioidic Inspection Reports and Portable Appliance Testing. EPC-World operates a network of electrical testers and a named electrical tester and/or portable appliance tester will be appointed to your contract.
Your payment details will be taken at the point of order. From point of order the customer will have a 3 day cancellation period. After the three day cancellation period your payment will not be refundable. A cancellation fee of £20.00 plus VAT will be applicable within the three day period.
Periodic Inspection Report
The price quoted is for up to six circuits, additional circuits will be charged at £25.00 including VAT each. The electricial tester will require access to all circuits to be inspected; it is the responsibility of the landlord to ensure that the electrical tester is aware of all the circuits at the property – as per the consumer unit.

Periodic Inspection Report Codes

Recommendation Code 1
Where an observation is given a Recommendation Code 1 (requires urgent attention), the safety of those using the installation may be at risk. The person responsible for the maintenance of the installation is advised to take action without delay to remedy the observed deficiency in the installation, or to take other appropriate action (such as switching off and isolating the affected part(s) of the installation) to remove the potential danger.

Recommendation Code 2
An observation given a Recommendation Code 2 (requires improvement) indicates that, whilst the safety of those using the installation may not be at immediate risk, remedial action should be taken as soon as possible to improve the safety of the installation to the level provided by the national standard for the safety of electrical installations, BS 7671. The contractor issuing the report will be able to provide further advice. Items which have been attributed Recommendation Code 2 should be remedied as soon as possible.

Recommendation Code 3
An observation given a Recommendation Code 3 (requires further investigation), the inspection has revealed an apparent deficiency which could not, due to the extent of limitations of this inspection, be fully identified. Items which have been attributed Recommendation Code 3 should be investigated as soon as possible. The person responsible for the maintenance of the installation is advised to arrange for the contractor issuing the report to undertake further examination of the installation to determine the nature and extent of the apparent deficiency.
 

Privacy Policy

When conducting a transaction we may pass details of your purchase, delivery details and credit/debit card to our payment processor. We do not store or retain credit/debit card details and any written document containing such details will be destroyed once the transaction is complete.
All information is stored in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act.
We will not sell, or pass on in any form to a third party, apart from our payment processors, any of your personal details.
